U.S. Government Sends The Jaguar To Extinction

U.S. Government is planning to build a border fence in order to stop illegal immigration, despite that environmentalists say that they will destroy the habitat of some endangered species. According to the Department of the Interior ,the reason they ignored the advices of various sources and specialists is that too few jaguars were seen in the area and that they don’t have any reason to make a recovery plan.
Although the habitat of the jaguar extends from South America to Southern United States, the government says that it depends on the conservation effors of Mexico, Central and South America to create a recovery plan to save the felines. The advantage of the government is that the area where they will build the fence it’s not a protected area for the animals.
Some sources say that with the right tools a man could easily get past the border fence in a few minutes which means that the wall is useless.
The government states that the extinction from US territory of the jaguars will not have any repercussions on any other species. So, it seems there is nothing that could make them to give up on their idea even if everybody and everything is against them.
We really hope that they will change their mind and care more about all endangered species.

Putting up roads, walls, dams and other barriers to animal motion is one of the most harmful things we do to endangered animals.
Anti-immigration sentiment in the US is quite harmful, but I think it’s a consequence of our lack of a discourse about social class and the barriers to social mobility that have gotten more rigid since 1980. People are afraid their children are going to be worse off from them, but rather than turning their anger at the people responsible, they’re turning their anger at foreigners.
