A group of scientists at a climate conference in Bali presented their latest research about under-sea vegetation and to be more specific about seaweed and algae. This vegetation is now recognized as a weapon against global warming. Their research was approved by scientists from 12 countries. Approvers of the research say that the good pace of photosynthesis of algae can absorb carbon dioxide comparable with the rain forests.Seaweed and algae are very efficient carbon sinks which means that they absorb more carbon than their rate emission. This concept is based on the ability of trees, plants and the soil to soak up carbon.

The main purpose of the Bali conference is to sign a new global warming pact which can replace the Kyoto Protocol when il will expire in 2012. But like every new ideas, this also has a setback: seaweed and algae is under crop only a few months per year.
