Ozone hole over Antarctic the smallest in the last 5 years
By Nick November 17, 2007
The ozone hole is one big problem of ours, but we can be happy that the ecologists have done a great job. The hole isn’t gone, but it has reached it’s smallest sizes in the last 5 years, so we might be heading in the right direction. Still, we are not even close to full recovery of the ozone, being an extremely long and slow process. Even if we wouldn’t use the chemicals that destroy it, we would have to wait for about one hundred years, because they have a long life.
We are facing again the global warming problem and it’s negative effects, slowing down a lot the ozone recovery process. So there are many factors implied in the ozone recovery process, but all can be solved with using eco-friendly materials and protecting the environment.
