Cool Earth Solar is a company which develops solar power plants using a concentrated photovoltaic technology. C.E.S has developed a cost-effective power plant which is economical competitive with conventional fuels. On Thursday, C.E.S announced that they have closed $21 million to develop a new solar generator in its Series A funding and they could get more financing in the next 60 days.
Cool Earth Solar has a technology extremely different from other CPV systems - this tech is based on the reduction of the materials, balanced labor and costs. In order to maximize the electricity output, they built plastic balloons suspended on wired metal structures. The balloons will reflect the light coming from the sun to solar cells to generate electricity. The suspended solar collectors can withstand up to 100 mph wind.

The power plant can be build anywhere in the world because they are not expensive and sophisticated like conventional CPV. It’s a good thing that multiple companies get funding for the development of various power sources.
