CO2 Could Be Stored Underwater
By Nick March 12, 2008

Lately the scientists are thinking what to do with the surplus of CO2. An idea is to sequestrate liquid CO2 beneath the Earth in plastic bags. The man who supports this projects is Dr. David Keith from the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Calgary. He says that it would be possible to store the liquid CO2 in gigantic plastic bags at three kilometers below ocean surface.
The liquefied CO2 would be transported to the plastic bags through pipes. This project could be a little dangerous because it could explode or it might leak and I don’t want to think of the consequences. We expect that Dr. Keith will give us more informations at the Annual Conference of the American Association for the Advancement of Science which is scheduled for April, this year.
