Agro Park, The Next Generation Park
By Nick March 26, 2008

Nature seems to be rewarded with the space it needs in this world, after projects that include the green element are announced every day. One of these is called Agro Park, and is to be developed in Memphis, Tennessee. The hyper-park will encompass 4500 acres of land and was designed for multiple purposes, such as research, energy, farming, education and, nevertheless, tourism.
It looks like a great destination for a relaxing mini-vacation with gorgeous sights, amazing sunsets, rising and falling hills, open fields, nestled lakes, possibilities of learning about nature and agriculture, bottomland forests and a countryside drive. Field Operations, Hargreaves Associates and Tom Leader Studio made the best bid in a competition to create a master plan for Shelby Farms Park by coming up with these ideas.
There will be twelve distinctive landscapes and each will support certain uses and activities. Among these, we name The Art Mound, The Refuge, The Agricenter, Research Fields and Nursery, Patriot Lake 3.0, Bison Range and Arboretum and the Public Organic Gardens; you can take a look at all of these in the gallery below.
At last, I may say that this looks like a superb place for a nature-loving person to spend their life, because this place looks like heaven on Earth. Imagine that you wake up in the morning, open the window, and take a deep breath of fresh clean air while looking at a bison a couple hundred of yards from you, or at a pair of lovers sitting on the side of a sparkling blue lake. You would then realize that you are living the American dream.
